Caught blue handed

Although we've been here less than twelve hours, it's already been a whirlwind of discovery.
Grammy stocked the fridge with good stuff for our visit. She introduced blueberries to Eliza. This morning Eliza ate a whole bowl full of blueberries and strawberries. As you can probably tell from this photo, she was not interested in sharing.
P.S. Grammy has been assigned diaper duty for the rest of the day.

Just like old times

The girls are in Portland this weekend. After a long flight, Eliza sure was excited to see Grammy Lew. Even though it was late, E got to play with Grammy's toys and read one of their favorite books "Grandma and Me".

As you can see, Scout got into the action, too. Eliza's gotten really good at saying "dog". Our neighbors have dogs. When she sees or hears them she says "dog". She's having a good time chasing Scout around the house.

Baby cooking in the kitchen

When Daddy went to get Eliza at daycare last night she didn't even realize he was there. She was focused on the imaginary meal that she was whipping up in the play kitchen.

Eliza had such a fun time ripping Tupperware out of the cabinet that she just had to take a nap right away afterwards - even if it was smack dab in the middle of the kitchen floor.

Just went to an outdoor antique market. E was a very good girl. She was rewarded with ice cream. Now she's being cute and silly in her car seat.

Another day of shopping

Daddy and baby found more matching hats. While it was a good photo op, these got a definitive NO from mom.

Mommy and Eliza in the BabyHut

Eliza needed a place to sneak away to during all the Superbowl festivities, so we set-up her baby hut on a prime piece of real estate: the hallway.

What is this weird contraption?

We plopped E in this Winne The Poo arcade ride at the factory outlet mall. She didn't know what to think of it. Seemed kinda tame, even for a toddler.

E's passport photo

The passport photographer captured a wide range of emotions from Eliza while trying to snap her pic. We ended up just going with the standard "mug shot" before she had a meltdown in the CVS.

It looks sorta dreadful, just like everyone else's passport and DMV photos. Get used to it kid! Next time Daddy is bringing his big camera out for her updated photo in a few years.

Eliza posing for a passport pic

We're planning some sort of exotic vacation for later this year, so we realized that we needed to get our future world traveler a passort ASAP. As you might imagine, it's not easy to get Eliza to sit still for a photo that's very specifically formatted like this, but we finally ended up getting a decent shot.
