The little Birthday Princess
Today Eliza is wearing her princess outfit from Grandma Cathy, along with her tiara. And what does such a fashionable baby like to do in her free time? Go shopping, of course!
Eliza loves playing with all her new presents, and had been having a great time walking around, pretending to shop with her baby grocery cart.
Ridin' the sugar high
After making a mess of her cupcake, Eliza just chilled on her throne while enjoying all the attention. Also, she was stalling as long as she could because she knew bath time was sure to follow.

Happy Birthday, Eliza!
Today Baby Eliza officially turns ONE YEAR OLD! After her breakfast, we let her have another crack at one of her birthday cupcakes. To help clean up the mess, she gladly wore her 'birthday suit' for the occasion.

Someone Loves Cupcakes!
For her birthday Eliza got her own set of strawberry cupcakes (with pink vanilla frosting and pink sprinkles). We had a taste-testing session a week ago, so we knew that she liked them. But when it came time for her own cupcake...she DEVOURED it. I kinda felt bad for the cupcake. Poor guy.
Taking a Reading Break
Eliza loved ripping open the presents, but her momentum kept being interrupted. Whenever she'd unwrap a new book, or come across one she opened a few minutes ago, she'd take a little reading break. She got a lot of cute books for her birthday, so opening the gifts took a while.

Eliza is turning ONE YEAR OLD this week, so we had a little birthday celebration for her this weekend. Mommy and her got all dressed up for the occasion. Look at those two cuties!
Eliza's Day at the Zoo
It was "free admission day" at the zoo this past Friday, so we buckled Eliza into her seat and headed straight there. I didn't get any great shots of E with the animals (as they're kept far away in cages), but we did capture this wonderful shot of her out in the wild.
