Baby loves bacon!
This morning while eating breakfast and getting ready for work, I noticed Eliza gnawing on her new plush piggy. Up until this point she has mostly shown signs of being a vegan: eating only pureed vegetables and drinking soy milk. Now daddy has another person he has to share bacon with.

This'll probably be one of the only videos or photos we'll post in which Eliza isn't smiling or shrieking with delight. Instead, we get a glimpse of her sometimes weird baby nightmares. I imagines she's dreaming of her bottle running out of formula, or being eaten by a giant blanket.

She's too little to gulp down the ice cold water, but she really enjoys having a good lick on the outside of Grandma's bottle.
Trying to beat the heat.
Here's a shot of three lovely ladies (Eliza, Grandma Cathy, Kyann) trying to beat the 100 degree heat. We were down at Callaham Orchard to celebrate one of Eliza's little friend Matthew's first birthday.
Eliza's favorite new toy.
After a brief trip to Babies-R-Us with Grandma Cathy, Eliza walked away (or rather, strolled away) with this nifty activity mat. She basically lies on the ground and reaches up to pull or smack around adorable stuffed animals. It certainly must be fun because Mommy couldn't wait to get in on the action.

Eliza has finally decided to weigh-in and lend her support to Democratic presidential hopeful, Barack Obama. She believes in his campaign for change - despite that her idea of "change" often involves diapers.
