Eliza wants to wish everyone a happy start to the new year!
This Is Why We Fight
Our preschool hipster loves listening to indie rock. After making us play this Decemberists song repeatedly in the car, we sat her down afterwards and asked sing the chorus in front of the camera. She was rather annoyed, which only added to her aloof hipster attitude.
Eliza finally got her STOMPEEZ!
All this kid could talk about for WEEKS was how she wanted a pair of Stompeez slippers. We were counting down the days until Christmas Day, so that we didn't have to hear her constant cute (and somewhat annoying) pleading, "I really want some Stompeez!"
Getting Ready For Santa's Visit!
Eliza carefully placed Santa's glass and plate out on Christmas Eve. She insisted on serving him one of the cookies that she made, and also left carrots and water out for the reindeer.
A short "winter's" nap
Eliza is napping on the patio on a warm, sunny 80 degree day. It also happens to be Christmas Eve. The holidays are a lil different in Florida
Snacking with Mommy
We went back to Eliza's classroom after her Hanukkah celebration and enjoyed snacks. Eliza loved having her Mom and Dad hang out with her school pals. She really wanted Mommy to stay for nap time.
Hanukkah Celebration!
Eliza had a great time singing and performing songs with her class. She and Alexander (right) were really loud and funny.
Not Interested In Posing
Eliza loves the crazy light display at Disney's Hollywood Studios. But she's more interested in looking at the five million dancing lights than stopping to pose for a family photo.
Sitting Curbside With Karey
Just hanging out with Aunt Karey on the sidewalk at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
4-Year-Old Check-Up
Now that she's four, Eliza needed to visit the doctor for her annual check-up.
Eliza's now 41 pounds and 42 inches tall. Yes, she's tall! She's in the 90th percentile for height.
As usual, Eliza was a good patient. She enjoyed reading the eye chart during her vision check and listening for the little beeps during the hearing test. She also enjoyed answering some personal questions.
Doctor: What is your favorite vegetable? Eliza: Broccoli.
Doctor: What is your favorite fruit? Eliza: Pineapple.
Doctor: Do you like to drink milk? Eliza: Yes.
Doctor: Do you brush your teeth? Eliza: Yes. Doctor: At morning AND at night? Eliza: Yes.
Doctor: What did you tell Santa you want for Christmas? Eliza: A reindeer.
And the best part about her visit to the Doctor was NO SHOTS!
A Visit From Gumpa and Gramma
Eliza had a great time with her Gumpa and Gramma during their visit. Among their adventures together, a visit to Animal Kingdom.
Eliza's A (Donald) Duck Fan
It was hugs and smiles when Eliza met up with Donald Duck at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
Holiday Lights
We enjoyed seeing the Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights tonight at Hollywood Studios. The lights, the music and the snow made for a very festive evening.
About To Ride Toy Story...
These guys are excited (even though a little bit tired after a busy day) to ride the Toy Story ride at Hollywood Studios.
Too Cool For Mom & Dad
Eliza rode Toy Story Mania with her buddy Drew. She was too cool to ride with Mama and Dada.
i just turned 4 years-old!
Look at this happy kid this morning! She jumped out of bed and did a little dance, then we went to breakfast at McDonalds, and had an early morning birthday party with her classmates. Tonight, we're off to Disney for the weekend!
The Return of Chocolate Blankie
On the eve of her 4th birthday, her and "chocolate blankie" were at long last reunited.
Our Little Chef
Eliza's quite the helper in the kitchen. She helped make meatballs for her favorite meal - Skabetty & Meatballs. She was so proud of herself that she now wants to make them every night for dinner.
Ready To Eat Thanksgiving Dinner
Eliza tried a little bit of everything on her plate, but particularly enjoyed drinking a fresh squeezed cranberry-orange sparkly drink out of a fancy grown-up glass. Notice the lovely centerpiece she made for our table! She was very proud of it.
Holiday Bakers
Mommy does the cooking on Thanksgiving, but Eliza and Daddy are in charge of the baking. This Thanksgiving, they made and decorated cookies. Look at the level of concentration involved in this project!
