Eliza and the Sportscar
She loved driving the car, but had a little trouble her first time behind the wheel...
That was a great photo of the aftermath, but to make it even better...we have a crash captured on video!
We're totally using this against her when she's sixteen and wants to borrow the car.
Eliza's national TV cameo!
Eliza and her Sesame Street Pals
We got E up really early this morning, so that she could come to Mommy and Daddy's work to meet some furry friends: Elmo and Cookie Monster! She wanted to hang out with these guys so much that she almost wandered onto the set during a live interview.
Two LuLews?
Eliza was confused when she met Grammy LuLew's sisters, Karen (in photo) and Patti. She thought there were three LuLews. She loved them all.
Poking around the Pearl
Powell's Books was the first of many fun stops in our shopping trip through downtown PDX this morning.

reading in bed on a Sunday morning
It was a pleasant sight to peek into E's room this morning to see her lying in bed reading. She just woke up, turned on her light and got busy reading. Adorable.
Dancing in the big castle
When the show ended at Medieval Times they herded everyone into the lobby gift shop where techno music is playing at full volume. Eliza went crazy, and ran all over doing her funky moves - we had difficult getting her to leave.
Enjoying the tournament at Medieval Times
Eliza loved watching the knights bonk each other with swords while she ate chicken and ribs with her hands.
Ready for the beach
Mommy told Eliza to put flip flops on to wear to the beach. She did, except they were Daddy's flip flops. The hat was her own special touch.
hello from Lake Lily!
Pretending to sleep
Now when E doesn't want to be lectured to or photographed she'll pretend to fall asleep. Good to know she already has bear attack survival down.

Fun family photo!
It's rare that we get photos featuring all three of us, so when we got this emailed to us by our friends The Sullivans, we were thrilled. Looks like a fun day at the fountain.
Feeding the birds
In between taking bites of stale bread, Eliza fed the birds at Lake Lily. We also played on the playground, had lemonade at the Farmer's Market and ran into her favorite teacher - Mrs. Weider.
On a lizard hunt
Eliza loves chasing the backyard lizards. She almost caught this little guy. (Sorry for the crooked video!)
Yummy ice cream
We're out for dessert. Eliza isn't satisfied with just her own so she's taken over Daddy's, too.
