Eliza's having a true TV dinner. She's sitting at her kid table
watching Cous Cous (aka Blues Clues).
Yummy Hang-a-bur!
Eliza's silly face
This is the face that she likes to make for Daddy when she's supposed to be posing for a photo, listening to instructions, or when she just wants an easy laugh. Quite a little character, this girl is turning out to be.
free as a bird!
This is little E "spreading her wings" after a long car ride to Austin on Saturday. She hopped out of the car, stretched out, and got ready to do some shopping on Congress street.
This baby can accessorize!
Eliza got all dressed-up for a day in the sun, and then she decided that she wanted to wear a hat. She did a great job picking the right shade to go along with her outfit.
Roadside BBQ
We went on a little road trip to Austin today. On the way back we
stopped at Mikeska's for dinner. Eliza and LuLew made some new
friends. The place was full of taxidermied animals. Food was good.
Decor was kinda creepy.
Stickers
Eliza was given a sheet of stickers at the Gap. She plastered them all
over her hand - as seen here. Then began trying to eat them - as seen
here. She got very angry when Mom intervened. At that point she threw
a tantrum that lasted 20+ minutes, through the mall into the car and
most of the way home. All the while screaming "my stickers".
Playing at the zoo
We spent most of our trip to the zoo in the play area. Eliza owned
this hippo. She scared all the other kids away with her fierce stare
down.
Then we rode the train around Hermann Park.
Now we're all ready for a nap, but not Eliza. Oh, no, not her.
omm nom nom!
Our family had a lot of interesting treats at the Houston Rodeo this weekend (including 'chicken fried bacon'). Eliza found a very special treat of her own: chocolate covered banana.
The Costco car seat
Eliza loves sitting in car seats - except when they're in a car. She always plops down in one when we take it out of the car, or whenever we come across one in a store.
On this particular day at Costco she didn't want to get up, and when we said it was time to go home she started to buckle up. She wouldn't budge. It was like watching one of those environmental protesters that chain themselves to trees until the police have to remove them. It's not pretty sight in Berkley, and especially not in a Costco.
Chocolate Milk
Eliza helped herself to some choclate milk, but had trouble opening
the fridge a second time for the refill. She was putting her whole
body ... and quite possibly soul ... into the effort. Finally she
declared "I can't do it."
Eliza's Hip Hop Show
Daddy got a new computer, and Eliza loves to look at pictures and videos of herself on the large screen. Her new favorite obsession is recording little videos on the webcam.

Wiped Out
It's a low-key Saturday. Eliza woke up early demanding to watch Blues
Clues. She's been obsessed with that show. She can now finish the
weird guy's sentences. Today she picked out a new stuffed dog - the
one she's clutching here - which looks kinda like Blue.
Anyway, we went for a yummy lunch. Eliza had hot & sour soup, spring
rolls, honey chicken and dessert. Good eater!
Then we hit Costco. She was knocked out on the way home. Costco is
quite exhausting.
You'll notice that she's got her purple sunglasses on again. She likes
just wearing them on her forehead.
