E is showing off her new duds, while going all rodeo in her new Baby Einstein jumper. YeeHaw!
Playing peek-a-boo with the mirror baby

Here's a video we didn't have a chance to post from New Orleans. Eliza was in front of the mirror playing peek-a-boo with herself, mostly by looking down and back up. She seems to do this everywhere we go that has a mirror, especially clothing stores like the Gap.
Checking out the Jumpers at Target
We promised Eliza that if she moved to Houston with us, and was a good girl in the car, she could have a new Jumpy thing. Not only did she agree to move with us (a sound decision), but she also slept or quietly played with her toys for most of the drive to Texas. The last 15 minutes in the car was pretty rough.
Anyway, Daddy had her try out all the various models at Target and Eliza decided upon the Baby Einstein one. The deciding factor: she liked the sales tags on that one the most.
Check out our little fashionista.
Eliza is so cute that even the people at the Costco optometry center didn't seem to mind that Daddy kept having her try on $100 pairsof sunglasses. These (above) were her most favorite.
Wearing out the Exersaucer

Eliza loves jumping in her Exersaucer! It's hard to tell if she's wearing that thing out, or if it's wearing her out. Either way it's fun to watch - although I'm sure she's having more fun.
Eliza and Kensie
Eliza usually gets really cranky when it's bedtime, but she was more than happy to keep awake so she could play with her pal, Kensie. The two of them mainly played around on the rug and then banged on pots and pans - usual Thursday night stuff.
That baby is at the doctor's office too!
Here's a shot of Eliza at the 9 month check-up today (which is perfect, considering that she just turned 9 months old yesterday). She spent the first part of the visit entertaining herself by kicking the exam bed paper and playing with that cute baby in the mirror.
Here's E's new vital stats:
Height = 28"
Head = 45cm
Weight = 18lbs, 14oz
All that fun soon ended when she got a precautionary flu shot, which made her quite angry at everyone for at least five minutes...until she was distracted by a little plastic sheep.
Future percussionist?

While Mommy and Daddy were hard at work getting the house packed up, Eliza needed something fun to do on her own. So she decided to start learning an instrument: drums (or kitchenware, to be more accurate).
Eliza loves shopping cart rides
Now that E is able to sit up on her own - and has also become much more daring - she's riding around in the shopping cart like a big girl!
She has a nifty cushion that we've been putting in the cart, but she likes rolling old school, as well.
