Eliza is getting into the Halloween spirit already. She won't take her witchy hat off at all.

October Oregon Visit '09

We really packed a lot of fun into such a short trip! There were far too many photos to post to the blog, so here they are in a slideshow!

Eliza had the time of her life playing with her buddy Charlotte and her cousins Bella and Natalie. Here they are doing some "Ring Around the Rosie"...or as E likes to call it "ashes, ashes...DOWN!"

Hanging with the Grandparents!

Eliza had a fun day at the zoo with "Damma" and "Dampa", especially when she got out of her stroller and got to do some serious jumping!

Hello, Miss Sheep.

yikes!, originally uploaded by littlelostrobot.

Eliza wanted out of her stroller all day, but when she was placed in front of this mysterious beast, she was just fine with a little distance.

Eliza's loves the swing

We finally got E to sit in the swing without freaking out, and as soon as she got going, she had a blast!

This little bookworm is in heaven!

Eliza goes to school!

Eliza had a fun morning on the first day of our Oregon trip, visiting Grammy Lew's school. She got to meet all the fun teachers and staff, and check out what it's like to be a big kid. [see more photos!]

shopping cart speedster!

It's hard shopping with this kid when she's got her own shopping cart. We thought it'd be a fun distraction for her, but ended up distracting us - and all the other shoppers - as we chased her all over the store.

baby's BBQ feast

We went to one of E's favorite restaurants today, Pappas BBQ. Eliza had her own bowl of Mac-N-Cheese, but she also ate all sorts of yummy stuff off Mommy and Daddy's plates.

Queen of the living room!

Eliza got into the Halloween spirit this weekend, running around the house in this adorable fairy costume that Grammy Lew sent her. She spent a lot of time twirling around in front of the mirror, pointing at her reflection and shouting "Dora!"

Expect to see some photos of this fairy princess out in "the wild", and get ready for some cute pics from another face-melting cute costume.

an Eliza masterpiece!

We have a mini Jackson Pollack here! She does similar crayon art on our walls at home now. This peice will be auctioned at Sotherbees later this month.

Here's a scan of one of the interesting pieces of art that E makes during her fun, activity-filled mornings at daycare. Doesn't that just brighten up your day?

(We think she had some help with this one.)

fairy princess caught on camera

Daddy has long suspected that there must be a little fairy that sneaks in and puts grubby fingerprints on his laptop screen - and now he has photographic evidence!

Chillin' with Mommy

This weekend marked our second time at the Bayou Arts Festival since we moved here just over a year ago. But it also marked "first" as well: the first time it's ever been cold here in Houston. And to be fair, it was probably just in the 70's, but we've become accustomed to the high 80's to mid 90's every day so it was sort of a shock.

Eliza had fun listening to mariachi music and trying out all the various ethnic festival foods (Baclava was a big hit).
